Tempelhofer Feld, Berlin
This place became a very popular for a run last decade. Now it's one of the top 10 places for a run or slow jog in Berlin. Since Tempelhof Airport was closed down in 2008, the people of Berlin reclaimed the place for leisure activities. Plenty of space and freedom to enjoy the views and let your thoughts ramble into the horizon. One lap around Tempelhofer Feld is about six kilometres. You will be running past an old aircraft, community gardens and picknick areas. Every year in April more than 7,000 runners gather for the annual Airfield Run here.
